What happened

Gamdom, a crypto gambling site, lost just over $3 million from its hot wallets on 13 October 2026, according to its founder Felix Romer. It posted at 18:45 UTC that day that the site was offline. In a statement at 03:37 UTC on 14 October, Gamdom said it had detected a possible disk failure on one of its servers about 24 hours earlier, and while investigating it had found an unauthorised connection on one of its automation servers. It took all its systems offline as a precaution and said user funds were safe.

Romer wrote at 16:44 UTC on 14 October that a breach had attacked the hot wallet system, that the team had stopped the drain and lost just over $3 million, and that the remaining hot wallet funds had been moved to cold wallets. The on-chain investigator vxdb, using Arkham data, put the loss higher, at about $2.2 million on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism, $965,000 on Solana, $668,000 in bitcoin and $375,000 on TRON, about $4.2 million in all, and reported that the attacker was bridging assets through THORChain. Bitcoin.com noted that a gambling-site tracker showed Gamdom’s monitored wallets holding about $10.5 million on 12 October and about $76,000 the next day, but that the fall also reflects the move to cold storage and does not measure the theft. Nobody has explained the gap between the two figures. The headline here is the operator’s own figure, with vxdb’s total as the upper end.

Gamdom came back online at 00:34 UTC on 16 October. It said bets placed on its own games during the outage had been paid out twice over and deposits made in that period had been credited. Neither Gamdom nor any independent source has reported a loss of customer balances, so the loss is recorded as borne by the operator and the outcome as users reimbursed. Nothing stolen has been recovered, and Gamdom has not published wallet addresses or a forensic account of the breach.
