Top Market Cap Coin
A cryptocurrency ranked among the largest by market capitalization, calculated by multiplying its price by its circulating supply.
A top market cap coin is a cryptocurrency with one of the highest market capitalizations in the crypto market or within a category such as altcoins. Market cap is calculated by multiplying the coin’s current price by the number of coins in circulating supply. This makes it different from simply looking at price: a coin priced at $1 can have a larger market cap than a coin priced at $1,000 if far more of its tokens are circulating.
Market cap rankings are commonly used to compare the relative size, liquidity, and market importance of crypto assets. Larger market cap coins often have more exchange listings, deeper trading volume, and broader recognition, though they can still be volatile and risky. For example, an altcoin near the top of market cap rankings may be viewed as more established than a newly launched small-cap token, but market cap alone does not show whether the project is useful, secure, or fairly valued.
